Nepal to open against Singapore in U-15 Asia Cup

Nepal will start play its first ever U-15 international match against Singapore when the U-15 Asia Cup will commence in December 7th in United Arab Emirates. Cricket Assiciation of Nepal availed the schedule of the tournament that feature 10 non test playing nation and four test playing nations of Asia yesterday.

CAN President ask to unite for ACC Academy

President of Cricket Association of Nepal Jai Kumar Nath Shah has requested all the concerned bodies including Ministers’ Council, Nepal Sports Council (NSC) and his colleagues at CAN to unite to bring ACC Central Academy to Nepal forgetting the regional differences.

Felicitation alone is not enough

BY MAHESH ACHARYA: Nepali cricket has gained in stature with the national team emerging as the runners-up in the recently concluded ACC trophy in Singapore. It is a remarkable achievement for a country like Nepal where, though the cricket association was formed way back in 1946, serious cricket started only some six years ago.

ACC say NO to Pokhara

Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has informed Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) that ACC Central Academy for Cricket Development could not be built in Pokhara, the western city, due to some contraints, according to a report published by The Kathmandu Post, the national English daily.

CAN to release programme calendar

The firstever cricket calender of Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) will focus three desciplines: introduction to cricket, Nepal’s preparation for international events and umpire training. According to CAN secretary Binay Raj Pandey, the calender will be released very shortly.

Dipendra Chaudhary is the key for ACC sucess

Nepal has entered into the semifinals of 4th ACC Trophy being held in Singapore. Though the journey up to here was much expected by all of us, now every one out here would be anxiously waiting to see how Nepal would proceed further. Especially, after awesome performance of U-19 Team in Youth World Cup in New Zealand last year, the cricket fans are more hopeful.
