Gyanendra misses century but guides Nepal to victory over Rajwada

Skipper Gyanendra Malla scored a half century as Nepal registered a 83-run victory over Rajwada Cricket Team in their second practice match at the Gautam Buddha University Ground in Greater Noida, New Delhi today. Put into bat first, Nepal scored a fighting total of 247-7 in allotted 50 overs and packed Rajwada for 164 runs in 37.3 overs. Gyanendra hits 104, yet Rajwada beats Nepal

A century from stand-in skipper Gyanendra Malla failed to avert Nepal’s defeat as it went down by 47 runs against Rajwada Cricket Team on Sunday in its first practice match of India tour at the Gautam Buddha University Ground in Greater Noida, India. Nepal is in a week-long tour of India as part of preparation for its upcoming match against Kenya to be held on March 11 and 13 at TU ground, Kirtipur. Positive meetings held as part of process to re-admit CAN in ICC

A series of positive meetings of the Nepal Advisory Group concluded this weekend in Kathmandu as part of the process to re-admit the Cricket Association of Nepal as a member of the International Cricket Council. The Nepal Advisory Group, which consists of various stakeholders of cricket in Nepal, was formed by the ICC to recommend amendments to the constitution of the CAN so that elections can be conducted subsequently as per the revised constitution. At the meeting, the advisory group agreed on a Terms of Reference for the work and a community consultation process by which members of the Nepalese cricket community will give inputs for the revised Constitution.
