Region No 1 Biratnagar will try to defend its title against Region No 3 Kathmandu on February 23 as both the matches on the fifth day of ongoing second Birendra Memorial National League Cricket Championship were cancelled due to the wet grounds.
Region No 4 Bhairahawa, who lost trophy to Biratnagar on net run rate as rain cancelled the final last year, will return back. Bhairahawa shared points in two matches among total of four matches. It won only one.
The match on the sixth day between Biratnagar and Region No 5 Nepalgunj will be lifeless. Biratnagar will practice for the final while Nepalgunj
will try to gain some pride after losing two matches badly. The match may get a delayed start.
