Cricket Association of Nepal has announced the 18-member Nepali squad for the Emerging Nations’ Cup triangular cricket tournment in Kathmandu.
The triangular, featuring Nepal along with the Maldives and Bhutan, will be held during March 6 to 10. This will be the first ever international tournament for Bhutan.
Nepali squad, selected after the second Birendra Memorial National League, include eight players from Region No 1 Biratnagar that became the champion while five from Region No 3 Kathmandu, another finalist. Two players each from Region No 2 Birgunj and Region No 4 Bhairahawa and one from Region No 5 Nepalgunj also found a place in the team.
Nepali squad – Dipendra Chaudhary, Mehboob Alam, Manjeet Shrestha, Paras Luniya, Raj Kumar Pradhan, Lakpa Lama, Manoj Katuwal, Yunil Shrestha, Binod Das, Sanjam Regmi, Bardan Chalise, Paresh Lohani, Sandeep Shrestha, Raju Basnet, Kalam Ali, Raju Khadkaand Shakti Gauchan.
Biratnagar off-spinner Ayush Shrestha, tipped by coach Roy Dias as talented spinner, did not found any spot.
