Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has postponed the fourth edition of the Birendra Memorial National League cricket tournament for four days citing the delay in the team selection in various regions.
The tournament will now begin on Dec 15 with Birgunj and Kathmandu playing the curtain raiser. All matches will be played at the TU Cricket Ground.
The final of the 16-day event between two top placed teams from the league round will be held on Dec 30.
Six cricket development regions – Region No 1 Biratnagar, Region No 2 Birgunj, Region No 3 Kathmandu, Region No 4 Bhairahawa, Region No 5 Nepalgunj and debutant Region No 6 Baitadi – will compete in the tournament. Biratnagar has won all three previous editions of the tournament.
