Cricket Association of Nepal is organizing an international charity match at the TU Cricket Stadium for the relief fund of Tsunami victims, according to Daily Kantipur.
The match is being organised with support from Asian Cricket Council (ACC). “The two teams consisting former and new Test players from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will compete against Nepali national team,” said the newspaper.
“We sent a letter to ACC if we could do anything for Tsunami victim and they suggested us to stage the competition,” CAN’s vice-president TB Shah told the newspaper.
ACC had asked to stage the match during Feb 3-10 but CAN has decided to postpone it a few days for the time to collect more funds.
