Nepal Beat Hong Kong by 154 Runs
Nepal defeated Hong Kong by 154 runs to enter the semifinal of the ACC U-15 Elite Cup 2007 as the Group B winners. Nepal will now meet Group B runners-up in Sunday’s semifinal at TU Cricket Ground while Hong Kong plays Afghanistan at IOE. Click for complete scorecard.

Hong Kong Enter Semi With 28-run Win
HEROES OF THE INNINGS: Nizakat Khan of Hong Kong scored 57 while Weerachai Maneerat of Thailand claimed five wickets as Hong Kong was bowled out for 148 runs. Hong Kong entered the semifinal of the ACC U-15 Elite Cup 2007 registering their third win in the tournament at the BSAM Ground. They defeated lowly Thailand by 28 runs. Hong Kong U-15 played Baluwatar Cricket Club and Training Center at the BSAM Ground today and when Binod Pandey, a reporter with Nepal Samacharpatra daily, called me to ask if I wanted to go there. Since BCA president Upendra Prasad Bhattarai was giving me the lift, I couldn’t say know.

Prithu to Captain Nepal
Prithu Baskota, who led Nepal to victory in the 2006 ACC U-15 Cup in Malaysia, will once again shoulder the responsibility as Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) named him captain of Nepali side for the ACC U-15 Elite Cup 2007. The national selection committee headed by Bijay Kumar Sharma selected the team on Wednesday afternoon.

The Hong Kong China Under-15 team arrived Kathmandu on November 19 for the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) U-15 Elite Cup 2007. Sher Lama, a Nepali residing in Hong Kong, is leading the team as the coach.

Kathmandu Wins U-15 Nationals
Region No 3 Kathmandu proved too strong as they won the Pepsi U-15 Cricket Tournament remaining unbeaten throughout the tournament and defeating Region No 4 Bhairahawa comprehensively by 56 runs in the final.
