Nepal will begin it’s campaign against Malaysia in the ACC Twenty20 Championship in UAE in Group B which also consists Oman, Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain. The event will be held in UAE from November 20 to 30, according to Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN).
According to ACC, Nepal plays Malaysia on November 22, Kuwait on November 23 and Oman on November 24. After a day’s rest, Nepal meets Qatar on November 26 and Bahrain on November 27. The semifinals and playoffs are slated for November 29 while the final will be played on November 30.
Oman was the joint winner along with Afghanistan when the Twenty20 event was first held in Kuwait in 2007 while Kuwait finished third beating UAE in the third-place playoff.
Nepal lost to Afghanistan and Qatar in the league round to finish fourth in the group despite victories against Malaysia and Oman.
In Group A, there are Afghanistan, UAE, Singapore, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia and China. Bahrain and China did not play in 2007.
