Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) confirmed that Nepal will participate in the SAARC Under 25 Twenty20 Cricket Tournament to be organized in the Maldives from October 31 to November 7.
CAN also announced 14-member team under Paras Khadka to participate in the event. Gyanendra Malla is named Paras’ deputy.
All eight nations of South Asia are expected to participate in the event. Afghanistan and Pakistan have already confirmed their teams.
The event, all cost of which will be bore by Maldivian government, will be played at the newly constructed ground where 1,500 can attend.
Nepal U-25 Team: Paras Khadka (captain), Gyanendra Malla (vice-captain), Mahesh Chhetri, Anil Mandal, Sarad Vesawkar, Amrit Bhattarai, Binod Bhandari, Prithu Baskota, Rahul Viswokarma, Naresh Budayer, Pradeep Airee, Krishna Karki, Bhuwan Karki and Avinash Karn.
