Rumesh Ratnayake, the Development Officer at the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), visited the construction site of the Pokhara Cricket Ground.
“He inspected the ground as ACC is financing it,” Kaski District Cricket Association chairman Devendra Praju said. “He was also informed about the situation of ground and other infrastructure.”
According to Praju, Rs. 6.5m has already been spent on the ground. Out of which, approximately Rs 3.7 came from ACC. According to the estimation, the ground requires Rs. 5m more for completion of first phase.
Ratnayake also visited Nadipur and Lamachaur – two venues being seen by the Association as possible future cricket grounds.
“Ratnayake also asked about hospitality situation in case of big tournament,” Praju said.
Praju said that Ratnayake was satisfied with the progress. The ground will be playable after three months.
