Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) announced the fixture for inaugural Women’s Under-19 National Cricket Tournament beginning December 28.
All eight cricket development regions will participate in the league-cum-knockout tournament to be hosted by Kathmandu. The top two teams from two groups will meet in the semifinals and the final will be played on January 1, 2012 at the TU Cricket Ground.
After the competition of the tournament, CAN will pick the cricketers for the closed-camp training for the ACC Women’s U-19 Tournament to be held in Kuwait from February 1 to 10.
Groupings
Group A: Region No 1 (Biratnagar), Region No 2 (Birgunj), Region No 6 (Baitadi) & Region No 7 (Janakpur)
Group B: Region No 3 (Kathmandu), Region No 4 (Bhairahawa), Region No 5 (Nepalgunj) & Region No 8 (Pokhara)

Meanwhile, the Regional Cricket Development Committee Region No. 3 selected final 14 players for the Women’s U-19 National Cricket Tournament.
