Nepal’s winning run during their Mumbai tour came to a halt on Saturday as they lost their eighth friendly match to Payyade Sports Club by six wickets.
Winning the toss, Nepal opted to bat first and scored 137 runs losing nine wickets in allotted 20 overs. Anil Mandal was the highest scorer with 39 runs off 31 balls with three boundaries and two sixes. Paresh Lohani scored 25 runs off 21 balls while Sharad Vesawakar scored 21 runs off 28 balls.
Vishal Dabholkar grabbed four wickets while Saurabh Netravalkar took two wickets.
Payyade Sports Club successfully chased the target in 17.2 for the loss of four wickets. Pankaj Jaishwal was not out on 60 runs off 47 balls with five boundaries and four sixes.
Basanta Regmi, Chandra Saud, Sanjam Regmi and Paras Khadka grabbed a wicket each.
Nepali national cricket team has been touring Mumbai as a part of its preparations for the upcoming ICC World T20 World Cup Qualifiers to be played in the UAE on March.
