Nepal suffered second consecutive defeat in their Mumbai tour on Sunday as Bhiwanadi Taluka Cricket Association pulled a 35-run victory over touring team in a T20 match.
The home team won the toss and elected to bat first. Parag Pagedar scored 42 runs off 28 balls to guide Bhiwanadi to a total of 161 runs losing five wickets. Krishna Karki and Sanjam Regmi took two wickets each while Nepali captain Paras Khadka claimed a wicket. Shekhar Darli (36 runs) and Nikhil Shetty (35 runs) were the other major contributors for Bhiwanadi Taluka.
In reply, Nepal was all out for 126 runs in 18.4 overs. Prithu Baskota, who took four caches in the match, was the top-scorer in Nepali side. Baskota scored 32 runs of 16 balls.
Paras Khadka (19 runs), Anil Mandal (18 runs), Sharad Vesawkar (18 runs) and Gyanendra Malla (16 runs) were the other contributors for Nepali team. Sait Shaikh took four wickets for Bhiwanadi Taluka while Suresh Paradhi claimed three wickets. Darshan Bhoir took two and Raju Boga claimed a wicket for the home team.
Nepali cricket team is touring Mumbai to play friendly matches in their build-up process for the ICC World T20 Qualifiers to be held in the UAE on March.
