Spinner Shakti Gauchan, who took a hat-trick to script Nepal’s victory against Denmark in the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier match on Wednesday, is found to be a great fan of football also.
Gauchan, who gave breakthrough to Nepal taking the wicket of Shehzad Ahmed in his first spell, took hat-trick in the 13th over of the Denmark’s innings as he claimed the wicket of Rizwan Mahmood, Aftab Ahmed and Kamran Mahmood.
Then he celebrated in a footballer’s style, running away from the wicket and sliding on his chest like a football player.
“When I took my hat-trick, I ran away from the wicket and slid on my chest like a football player,” said Gauchan to ICC.
“I am also a big football fan, I like to watch the football, and I like to celebrate like a football player,” revealed the spinner.
