Asian Cricket Council (ACC) on Thursday announced the date of March 23 to April 1, 2013 for the Fourth ACC T20 Cup, which was already declared to be in Nepal.
It is the consecutive edition of the ACC T20 Cup being held in Nepal. Nepal had hosted the third edition of the tournament in Kathmandu last year. Nepal had reached the semifinal of the tournament and qualified for the World T20 Qualifier, where Nepal had finished on the seventh position.
Defending champion Afghanistan, Hong Kong, the UAE, Malaysia, Kuwait and the Maldives are to participate in the tournament alongside Nepal. Top two teams of the ACC Challenge Cup to be held in Thailand in December will also participate in the tournament.
Top three teams, except Afghanistan, from ACC T20 Cup will qualify for 16-team World T20 Qualifiers.
