Nepal finished third in Group B of the ICC World T20 Cup Qualifiers in UAE – thanks to results of two matches coming in Nepal’s favors.
Nepal will now meet Hong Kong on November 27 with the victorious team ensuring a place for World T20 Cup 2014 Bangladesh.
The loser of the match gets another opportunity to qualify when it plays another match on November 28 with either with Namibia or PNG. A victory there also ensures a spot in the cricket extravaganza.
Nepal’s third place was result of two outcomes on the day. Afghanistan beat Kenya by 34 runs to top the group and get qualified for the World Cup. In another match, Scotland was just short of target to claim third position as it failed to restrict Denmark around 120 runs to get better net run rate than Nepal. They registered a 75-run victory as Denmark scored 130.
