National Sports Council (NSC) has started construction of indoor cricket training hall at the TU Cricket Ground Kirtipur.
Youth and Sports Minister Ram Kumar Shrestha laid foundation stone at the construction site on Thursday. According to NSC, the hall would be 140 ft long and 40 ft wide. The estimated cost of the construction is Rs 7.4 millions.
NSC has signed a contract with R&C Builders, Jorpati for the construction works. NSC has asked R&C to complete the construction works within 40 days.
NSC has started the construction process as a task force formed after Nepal’s qualification to the ICC World T20 suggested it to provide indoor facilities to the national team as early as possible.
