At the Kinrara Oval, Uganda scored 203 for eight and then dismissed Nepal for 183. In the main feature of the day, a 137-run sixth-wicket partnership between Phillemon Mukobe (84) and Brian Masaba (51) helped Uganda recover from 23 for five in 13.3 overs to 203 for eight in 50 overs after it had been put into bat by Nepal. Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has appointed Bhawana Ghimire as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Likewise, it has also appointed Prakash Maharjan as the finance manager. The decision comes 10 months after a directive by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). According to acting general secretary of CAN Uttam Karmacharya, both will assume their duties from October 18. CAN has appointed them for a six month term. While Ghimire will be paid a monthly salary of Rs 75, 000, Maharjan will be paid Rs 50,000. CAN had interviewed them in presence of ICC representatives two months ago. Team Nepal lost to Afghanistan in the quarterfinals of 17th Asian Games Men’s cricket competition, by 8 runs, in Incheon, South Korea on Wednesday.
