Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has appointed Bhawana Ghimire as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Likewise, it has also appointed Prakash Maharjan as the finance manager.
The decision comes 10 months after a directive by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Asian Cricket Council (ACC).
According to acting general secretary of CAN Uttam Karmacharya, both will assume their duties from October 18.
CAN has appointed them for a six month term. While Ghimire will be paid a monthly salary of Rs 75, 000, Maharjan will be paid Rs 50,000. CAN had interviewed them in presence of ICC representatives two months ago.
ICC and ACC officials had directed NSC Member Secretary Lama to appoint CEO and finance manager at the CAN without delay.
