Nepal will take on hosts Namibia in the curtain-raiser of the ICC World Cricket League Division 2 at Affies Park, Windhoek (WAP) on February 8, 2018.
The six-team tournament – also consisting Kenya, Canada, Oman and UAE – is the qualifier for the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2018. The top two team from Division 2 will be the final two teams in the 10-nation WC Qualifier to be played in Zimbabwe in March.
The WC Qualifier in Zimbabwe will be battled by 10 teams – West Indies, Zimbabwe, Ireland, Netherlands, PNG, Afghanistan, Scotland and Hong Kong – with two finalists claiming the grand prize of the the World Cup qualification. Also on the stake is three ODI status – with Netherlands along with top 3 finishers from Associates getting the ODI status.

Nepal to prepare in UAE
Nepal will play three practice matches in UAE with local teams as preparations for the tournament. The visit is managed by ICC as Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) is under suspension.
