“I declare open the ACC U-19 Cup cricket tournament 2005, Kathmandu.’ crown Prince Paras Bir Bikram Shah annouced to declare open the biggest ever international sporting event in Nepal at the TU Cricket Ground, Kirtipur.
The inauguration program was colorful with inclusion of various cultural dances and cheering school-children.
“We’re all prepared for this challenging event,” Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) president and ACC vice-president Jai Kumar Nath shah said.
“Cricket is the heartbeat of Nepali youths,” minister for sports and chairman of main organizing committee Radha Krishna Mainali proudly claimed.
