Raju Basnet Completes 50 Scalps
Records are made to break: for there are some records that could not be broken by any mean – like the first bowler to reach 50 wickets in the national league cricket and that record will always stay with Raju Basnet. Raju, representing Region No 3 Kathmandu since the inception of the region based national league back in 2001, became the first bowler to claim 50 wickets when he returned with career best 5/15 against Region No 2 Birgunj at the TU Cricket Ground on Sunday.

Big Innings For Nepali Women
Women’s cricket has not flourished in Nepal or globally so it hardly draws any attention. Bullet to Ball: A Blind Man’s Pitch
“There is nothing impossible in the world.” As he said these words in front of a gathering of people most of whom couldn’t see him, he was greeted by thunderous applause. Those clapping either knew that the speaker had proved his words or were enthusiastic about what was coming next.

ACC Review: Matter of Experience
Nepal’s ACC Trophy 2006 campaign ended in two disappointing defeats. It was more disappointing not because we lost to two better teams – eventual winners UAE and Afghanistan but because we lost the opportunity to play in the Asia Cup and then in the World Cup Qualifying Series. And, also because Hong Kong, whom the Nepali cricket team convincingly defeated in the league round, reach the final of the event earning the rights to play in both tournaments.
