Nepal wins first practice match
Nepali national cricket team started its India tour in a winning note as it defeated DI Khan Coaching Center, Delhi by 42 runs in the first practice match on Sunday. Nepali team, which is touring India in its preparation bid for the ACC T20 Elite Cup and ICC World Cricket League Division 3, elected to bat at the DI Khan Senior Secondary School Ground, Delhi. Nepal was all out for 203 runs in 39.3 overs in the match reduced to 40 overs per side due to wet outfield. CAN announces 18-member squad
Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) announced preliminary 18-member national squad on Friday for the upcoming ACC T20 Elite Cup and ICC World Cricket League Division 3. The preliminary squad includes pacer Chandra Saud and Rahul Vishwakarma, who were left out in the final squad of ACC Elite Trophy held in the UAE in October 2012 because of injuries. Biratnagar claims maiden U-19 title
Region No 1 (Biratnagar) pulled a 10-run victory over Region No 4 (Bhairahawa) at the Pokhara Stadium on Thursday to clinch the Wai Wai U-19 National Cricket Tournament. Kathmandu crashes out
Region No 3 (Kathmandu) crashed out of the group stage of Wai Wai U-19 National Cricket Tournament on Saturday following its second defeat in a row. Kathmandu suffered a three-wicket defeat at the hands of Region No 6 (Baitadi) to become the first team to crash out from Group A with a match in hand. Rain in Pokhara washed out yet another match of Wai Wai U-19 National Cricket Tournament here on Wednesday. The first match of the pool A between Region No 1 (Biratnagar) and Region No 5 (Nepalgunj) was called off after the completion of an innings. The match was initially reduced to 27 overs each. Pradhan officiates World Cup match
Nepali cricket umpire Buddhi Bahadur Pradhan was one of the on-field umpires of the Women’s World Cup match between England and Sri Lanka played in Mumbai on Friday. International Cricket Council (ICC) has nominated Pradhan as one of the umpires in the Women’s World Cup. Pradhan is considered one of the finest umpires from the associate countries and he had officiated the final match of the ICC World T20 Qualifiers between Ireland and Afghanistan in UAE last year. So far, Pradhan has already officiated 18 One-Day International matches and 4 T20 international matches. He has been listed in the ICC Associate and Affiliates Umpires Panel since 2005.

Chaudhary guides Bhairahawa to victory
Bibek Chaudhary’s five-wicket haul ensured Region No 4 (Bhairahawa) a 47-run victory over Region No 2 (Birgunj) on Friday in the Wai Wai U-19 National Cricket Tournament being held in Pokhara. Region No 8 (Pokhara) defeated Region No 7 (Janakpur) by 35 runs in the inaugural match of the Wai Wai U-19 National Cricket Tournament that kicked off in Pokhara Stadium on Thursday.
