PICTURE STORY: Cricket in Baglung
Baglung is a small hilly city 72km from Western city of Pokhara – 271km from Kathmandu. When I reached there for my personal visit, I was pleasantly surprised to see a few kids playing cricket at the ground of the Mahendra Multiple Campus. The backdrop for the game: world’s seventh highest peak Mt Dhaulagiri standing tall at 8,167m from sea level.

AsianCricket.org Interview: Binaya Raj Pandey
This interview is originally published in the official website of Asian Cricket Council. Binaya Raj Pandey became President of the Cricket Association of Nepal in September 2006, having previously been an Honorary Secretary of the Association for 39 years. Small in stature, soft-spoken and exquisitely mannered, he brings with him the shrewdest of minds, the most adroit diplomac skills and an ability to slowly but surely, get things done. We spoke to him in Kuala Lumpur soon after the start of his term in office when he sought to outline his plans to overhaul cricket in Nepal to the ACC Secretariat. On his return to Kathmandu things indeed started happening – major sponsorships were announced, domestic cricket was revamped and… Read More

No 11 Does the Trick
What would you expect when the scoreboard is reading 122/9 and No 11, with an average of 7.83 in 13 matches, walks in? Maybe the batman on the other end will hit a few runs and he would swing bats a few times before finally ending with a sky-rocketed catch or castled stumps. Here is the different story. He scores a brilliant half-century helping him team reach the total unimaged a few hours earlier. If Jason Gillespie scoring a Test double century was a surprise, Raj Kumar Pradhan, scoring a 68 not out, was a miracle because he is so used to getting out quick.
