Nepal Settle for Draw Against HK
Despite dominating the proceedings, Nepal settled for a dour draw against Hong Kong as wet ground conditions in the second Asian Cricket Council (ACC) U-15 Cup two-day match at the Royal Selangor Cricket Club Ground, Malaysia. However, Nepal accumulated 10 bonus points from the match to climb to the second position in the Group A standings keeping alive hopes to enter the last four. Nepal managed a 65-run first innings lead after Hong Kong declared their innings on 87/9. Nepal had scored 152/7 in the first innings. Nepal could have chances of wining the match if the weather had permitted full 90 overs of play but it was the case the play was abandoned after the lunch.

Malaysia fall cheap, Nepal not good either
Nepal’s defense of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) U-15 Cup title suffered a setback as the not so experienced Nepali boys failed to capitalize on Malaysia’s batting collapse on inaugural match in Kuala Lumpur. After being put in to bat, the Malaysia was all out for 134 runs in 52.3 runs. But Malaysia’s batting failure was compensated by a good run from its bowlers. Nepal imitated Malaysia’s batting and at stumps had lost seven wickets scoring only 41 in 43 overs. Kathmandu’s Ayush Sharma is playing on 7. Heroes Return Home
ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup Plate Champion Nepal team returned home today to receive the heroes’ welcome. “It was a fantastic and great tour,” coach Roy Dias said at the Tribhuvan International Airport where his team were received by Sports Minister Radha Krishna Mainali and Cricket Association of Nepal officials. “I am proud of the way we win the plate championship, by beating two Test countries in good matches. I am proud of the boys,” he added.
