Nepal beat Tanzania by 10 wickets to claim third position in the Pepsi ICC World Cricket League Division 4 at Medicina, Italy on Saturday. Nepal bowled out Tanzania for 73 in 39.3 overs and the openers – Anil Mandal (47 not out) and Mahesh Chhetri (24 not out) raced the team to target in 12.3 overs.

Nepal confirmed its place in the Pepsi ICC World Cricket League Division 4 with a thumping victory over Cayman Islands in Medicina, Italy. In a crucial match important for relegation, Nepal bowled out Cayman Islands for 69 in 39.5 overs — with left-arm spinner Basant Regmi taking four wickets. Nepal”s batting was not on par with bowling but the victory was completed in 17.2 overs at the loss of three wickets.

The left-arm orthodox bowler took 7/15 to reduce USA from 150/3 to 172 all out — a score that Nepal surpassed in 46.5 overs losing five wickets to the delight of 15,000-odd fans at the TU Ground.

Paras Khadka is leading nation side for the first time in the one-day matches. After replacing Binod Das last November as captain, Paras led Nepal to unimpressive fifth-place finish in the ACC Twenty20 Elite Cup.
