Every time Nepali national cricket team leaves the country, it instills high hopes in all Nepalis. There are always opportunities and there is always somewhere up to go; and normally a step ahead means dreams coming true. Paras, Nary Receive ACC Awards
Nepal grabbed two awards at the inaugural Asian Cricket Council awards in a glittering function in Karachni, Pakistan on Saturday evening. Paras Khadka, who captained U-19 team in the ACC U-19 Elite Cup and Youth World Cup, and Nary Thapa, woman team’s captain, received awards as emerging Asian players. Paras won the Best Emerging Asian Cricketer of the Year while Nary received the Best Emerging Asian Woman Cricketer of the Year. The two awards were only awards for the associate nations.

You need more grounds: Ijaz Ahmed
Ijaz Ahmed, former Pakistan Test and ODI player with experience of four World Cups, was in Nepal as the coach of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Academy. Ahmed. 40 was dubbed the Axeman for his stance and chopping down of the ball outside off-stump with dominant bottom hand grip. He played 250 One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and 60 Test matches from 1987 to 2001. His PCB Academy played three one-day matches against Nepal winning two and suffering an upset loss in the last. PCB Academy Registers Easy Win
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Academy registered an easy seven-wicket victory in a rain-interrupted match against Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) XI at the TU Cricket Ground on Thursday. In the first of the three-match series, hailed as a test for the national team before World Cricket League Division 5, Nepal first failed to utilize the batting foundation and then witnessed strong batting from a ‘tough competitor.’

Nepal Play PCB for Exposure
Nepal hosts visiting Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Academy in the first of three one-dayers at the TU Ground on Thursday. Nepal national team hopes to get much-needed match practices and exposure to a better team ahead of the World Cricket League Division 5. Boosting services of five ODI players, Pakistani side is looking to end their tour on high note after notching a tri-series and two four-day matches in Bangladesh.

PCB Academy Arrives Kathmandu
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Academy arrived Kathmandu today afternoon for three one-day matches against Nepal’s national team. The PCB Academy, that flew in from Bangladesh, will play Nepal on May 8, 9 and 11 at the TU Cricket Ground.

Champions Singapore
Singapore won the ACC U-15 Elite Cup 2007 defeating Kuwait by four wickets in the final played at BSAM Ground, Bhaktapur. Kuwait scored 121/7 in 40 overs choosing to bat first. Opener Apporv Sanjay Gaur scored unbeaten 43 while Sarangdev Krishnan took two wickets. In reply, Singapore were down to 17/4 at one stage but patient batting from Mohit Kulkarki (24), man of the match Prasheen Param (30*) and Usman Manazir (26*) bring them victory in 35th over. It was a sweet revenge for Singapore who had lost to Kuwait by 57 runs during the league stage.

Eight Teams Disqualified; Singapore vs Kuwait for Final
Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has disqualified seven teams – including semifinalists Nepal, Afghanistan and Hong Kong from the ACC U-15 Elite Cup 2007 for fielding over-age players. In absence of eight teams, the remaining two teams Singapore and Kuwait will contest for the title on Monday, December 2, an ACC press release added.

Nepal Beat Hong Kong by 154 Runs

Hong Kong Enter Semi With 28-run Win
HEROES OF THE INNINGS: Nizakat Khan of Hong Kong scored 57 while Weerachai Maneerat of Thailand claimed five wickets as Hong Kong was bowled out for 148 runs.
