Ratan Becomes BDM Cricketer

India’s BD Mahajan & Sons Pvt Ltd, manufacturer of popular BDM brand of cricket accessories, has signed a one-year contract with Nepali Under-19 cricketer Ratan Rauniyar.

According to the contract, signed between Ratan and BDM’s Aditya Mahajan on September 15 in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, BDM will provide Ratan with cricket kits for one year. “Initially, the company has provided a set of cricket kits worth Rs. 30,000,” Suresh Chhetri, authorized dealer of BDM in Nepal, informed today.

Besides, the company will provide Ratan kit whenever he is traveling with the national team. “We are also willing to contract a few more Nepali international players,” Chhettri, who also runs the East West Cricket Club, said.

Earlier in June, Ratan practiced a month with famous Sonnet Cricket Club of Delhi and played three friendly matches for the club. “I learnt a few things about cricket while practicing there,” Ratan said.

Ratan represented Nepal in the U-19 Youth Asia Cup, Pakistan and U-19 Youth World Cup, Bangladesh as a spinner.
