Pakistan beat Nepal out of SAARC Cup

Nepal created enough points to beat Pakistan in the SAARC Twenty20 Cup, but faltered in crunch times to bow out of the event with a big 73-run defeat in Maldives. Pakistan scored 176/9 in 20 overs and restricted Nepal for 203/9 to proceed to the semifinals along with Sri Lanka from Group B.

Nepal defeated Karnataka Institute of Cricket (KIC) India by 6 wickets in the SAARC Twenty20 Cup in Maldives. After suffering a defeat in first match against Sri Lanka, Nepal displayed strong batting performance to pull up a astonishing win – thanks to half-centuries from captain Paras Khadka and vice-captain Gyanendra Malla.

Nepal lose to Sri Lanka

Dhanushka Gunatillake scored a brilliant century as Sri Lanka outplayed Nepal by 76 runs on the opening day of the SAARC Twenty20 Cup in Maldives. With man of the match Gunatillake’s 105, Sri Lanka raced to 240 for 4 in 20 overs. Nepal only managed 164 for 9 in 20 overs.

Captain hopes best from SAARC U25 Cup

Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) bode farewell to the Under-25 team which is leaving for Maldives on October 28 to compete in the SAARC U-25 Twenty20 Cup. National Sports Council (NSC) member-secretary Yubaraj Lama, newly appointed CAN vice-president TB Shah and other officials wished good luck to the team.

Nepal drawn with Lanka, Pakistan

Nepal will play Sri Lanka in opening day of the SAARC Twenty20 Cricket Tournament as it is drawn in a tough group. Nepal is drawn in Group B along with Karnataka Institute of Cricket (KIC) of India, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Bangaldesh’s team, Afghanistan, Bhutan and hosts Maldives are drawn in Group A.
