Nepal defends ACC U-19 Women’s title

Nepali girls defended the ACC U-19 Women’s Championship title defeating Bhutan by five wickets at the Indian Association Ground, Singapore. Bhutan were restricted to 53/6 in rain-reduced 20-over-a-side match. Nepal reached the target in 17.2 overs losing five wickets and Sarita Magar standing firm scoring unbeaten 23.

Nepal cruises to final beating UAE

Defending champions Nepal inched closer to the defense of their ACC U-19 Women´s Championship title on Monday defeating UAE by 81 runs in the semifinal hed in Yorker in Singapore. Nary Thapa once again played a captain´s knock, winning her third player-of-the-match award for her record-breaking innings that helped Nepal reach 156/3 in 25 overs. UAE, who were penalized an over due to slow over rate, could only manage 75/7 in 24 overs.

Nepal beats Qatar, enters semi

Defending champions Nepal entered the semifinals of the ACC U-19 Women´s Championship cricket defeating Qatar in the last league match by 49 runs in Singapore. It was Nepal´s fourth straight victory in as many matches in the tournament. Nepal qualify as the winners of Group A and will play the runners-up of Group B in the semifinal on Monday.

Nepal closes in to semi beating Singapore

Nepal registered third victory in the ACC U-19 Women’s Championship cricket tournament defeating Singapore by 70 runs at Yorker on Thursday. Winning toss, Nepal elected to bat and scored 159/2 in 25 overs. Hosts Singapore were restricted to 89/9. After the win, Nepal is atop Group A with three wins and only a series of results not in favor can deny Nepal a place in semifinal.

Nepal defeats Kuwait

Nepali women continued its winning streak as they beat Kuwait by 7 wickets in the second day of the ACC U-19 Women’s Championship in Singapore. At the Indian Association ground, Kuwait won the toss and elected to bat first. They managed 49/9 in 25 overs – a target that Nepali woman national team reached in 8.3 overs losing just three wickets. Yesterday, Nepal had beaten Hong Kong by 79 runs.

Nepal beats Hong Kong by 79 runs

Nepal began defense of the ACC U-19 Women’s Championship in style at Ceylon Sports Club (CSC) in Singapore defeating Hong Kong by 79 runs. Hong Kong won the toss and elected to field first. Nepal scored 123/6 in 25 overs and bowled out Hong Kong for 44 runs in 16.3 overs. Captain Nary Thapa was named player of the match.
