Nary wins Youth Player of the Year

Nary Thapa won the Youth Player of the Year award at the NSJF Pulsar Sports Awards 2067. Para-athlete Bikram Rana, who participates in cricket and athletics, won the Parathlete of the Year award as football, cricket and boxing lead the biggest sports awards of the country with two awards each.

As winners, they received Rs. 30,000 cash along with gift hampers from Timex, College of Medical Sciences, Dish Media Network, Buddha Air, Cherry World and New Horizon Carpet.

Asian bronze medalist pugilist Deepak Maharjan and footballer Jamuna Gurung won the Best Player awards in male and female categories.

Cricket’s Rahul Biswokarma, who was shortlisted for Best Player and Popular Player; and Jagat Tamata and Samson Jung Thapa, both short-listed for Coach of the Year, didn’t win the awards. Cricketer Sarita Magar and Prith Baskota were also nominated for the Youth Player of the Year award.
